When it comes to branding your business, the visual aspects and the messaging, there is only one true approach, authenticity. This may seem simple on the surface, but I find when business owners have to take time out of their routine and answers questions about themselves it’s not always cut and dry, in fact it takes real work, time and effort, and sometimes it’s really hard! We’ve all seen generic written copy, websites that seem to regurgitate the same content and buzzwords over and over, why, because it’s easy. It’s easier to do what others are doing with slight changes to match your business with the thinking it works for them, but you don’t know that for sure. The truth is this is lazy and gimmicky. Your customers will see through this and quickly move on. I get it though, time is money and the more time you spend working on your business the less time you are spending helping you customer, but if earning more customers trust and building a lasting company are your goals, resist easy gimmicky buzzwords and take the time time to tell your story in the most authentic human way possible, it’s 100% worth it.
